Type: Full Time

Location: 15475 South LaSalle Street, South Holland, IL 60473
Date posted:Â August 24, 2026
Pay:Â $22.00 – $25.00 per hour
Job description:
Order & Production Coordinator
Location:Â South Holland, IL
Pay: $22.00–$25.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Position Type:Â Full-Time, On-Site
About the Role
Gurtler Industries is seeking an Order & Production Coordinator to help keep sales orders, production activity, parts, shipments, and support requests moving efficiently through our South Holland operation.
This role goes beyond basic order entry. You will work across Sales, Production, Parts, Freight, Inventory, and Technical Support, using our ERP system throughout the day to manage transactions, track open items, identify issues, and help ensure orders move from request through completion.
If you are organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working in an ERP system, and good at keeping multiple priorities moving at once, this may be a strong fit.
What You’ll Do:
Order Management
- Serve as a primary point of contact for Gurtler field sales representatives by phone and email regarding orders, questions, shipment status, and related requests
- Enter, process, update, and close sales orders in Acumatica
- Review order information for accuracy, including part numbers, quantities, and supporting information
- Generate shipment requests for the Freight Department
- Provide shipment confirmations, tracking information, and order updates to field representatives
- Prepare a daily unfilled-order report for the fulfillment team
- Follow open orders through completion and identify delays or missing information
Production Coordination
- Create, process, and close production orders in Acumatica based on Bills of Material (BOMs)
- Maintain and update Bills of Material, including part numbers, quantities, and component structure
- Prepare a daily open-production-order report for the production team
- Coordinate with production personnel regarding outstanding orders, material requirements, and priorities
- Identify discrepancies or missing information that could delay production
- Help ensure ERP records accurately reflect completed production activity
Support & Troubleshooting
- Log incoming equipment or troubleshooting requests from the field
- Route requests to the appropriate technical or support personnel
- Prepare and maintain a daily report of open troubleshooting requests
- Follow up on open requests and help keep them moving toward resolution
- Keep field representatives informed regarding order and support-request status
Parts & Inventory Support
- Assist the Parts Coordinator with receiving, labeling, documentation, and cycle counts
- Help maintain accurate parts and inventory records
- Identify and communicate part shortages affecting open sales or production orders
- Work with Parts, Production, Freight, and other departments to resolve order-related issues
What We’re Looking For:
- Hands-on ERP or MRP system experience is required
- Experience may include SAP, Acumatica, Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains, Oracle, NetSuite, or a similar ERP/MRP system
- Previous experience in order entry, order management, manufacturing administration, production coordination, inventory, parts, fulfillment, or a related function preferred
- High school diploma or GED required; college coursework or a degree is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with part numbers, quantities, orders, inventory records, and other transactional information
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks while following each through completion
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to recognize when information does not look correct
- Ability to work independently while knowing when an issue should be escalated
- Comfortable working with employees across Sales, Production, Parts, Freight, Inventory, and Technical Support
- Comfortable working in both an office environment and on a manufacturing or warehouse floor
- Ability and willingness to learn manufacturing terminology, materials, fittings, sizing, and product information
- Familiarity with PVC, stainless steel, brass, fittings, thread types, or similar industrial components is a plus but not required
What Success Looks Like:
The strongest person in this role will do more than enter information into a system.
You will be expected to understand where an order stands, recognize when something may be incorrect or missing, communicate with the right people, and help keep work moving.
You should be comfortable balancing multiple open orders, production needs, support requests, and changing priorities without losing track of the details.
Work Environment:
- Full-time, on-site position in South Holland, Illinois
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
- Primarily office-based with regular interaction on the production and warehouse floor
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds
Why Gurtler Industries:
Gurtler Industries is a family-owned manufacturer of specialty chemicals and equipment serving the commercial laundry industry throughout North America.
Gurtler Industries offers a competitive benefits package including medical, dental and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid time off and holidays, life and disability insurance, and additional voluntary benefit options.
If you have ERP experience, strong organizational skills, and enjoy being the person who keeps multiple moving pieces coordinated, we encourage you to apply.
